Welcome!  


My name is Ria (or Dr. Keen if you're feeling formal!), and I'm a contemporary vocals specialist.


If you're in need of singing lessons, please have a look at the singing tuition page, using the links on the left. Private tuition, plus highly effective Open Learning (Home Study) lessons available up to Master's Degree level. Beginners are very welcome! 


I still sing professionally, working mostly theatres and sessions, in a range of styles including musical theatre and jazz. You'll find information on the 'news' 'performance pics' and various other pages.


I run a very busy private teaching practise as well as lecturing at drama school.  I am an Associate Professor (Liberal Arts) at Calamus International University, where I develop courses in contemporary vocals, and mentor degree students through their studies. 


Additionally, I am on the board of advisors of the Vocal Training Association (V-Tass), and develop courses and resources for Voiceworks International and for Gigfit. I am a Companion of the Vocal Coach Association.


And to confuse things still further....... I am a qualified hypnotherapist, aromatherapist and psychotherapist, and I use these skills in the main to help performing artists in their collective quest to improve :-)   Just lately, I have been fortunate enough to be asked to indulge my passion for writing, in a number of small but interesting ways!
